Our hygienists are highly trained and are very gentle and caring. They will clean all plaque build up, any unhealthy gums and help formulate a customised oral hygiene plan to suit your mouth and lifestyle.
Here at Dental Beauty, we use Airflow, the latest in polishing techniques to give you a cleaner, bright smile. Airflow uses high pressure air and water, with a specially-formulated powder to help restore teeth to their natural colour, by removing external stains such as those caused by coffee, tea, red wine and daily living.
Your gums form the foundations for your teeth so taking care of them is paramount to not only your oral health and also your general health.
By practicing good oral hygiene and attending regular check ups, you can prevent gum disease and other dental problems.
We offer direct access hygiene meaning even if you are not a patient at Dental Beauty, you can still directly make an appointment with our hygienists. This is especially popular with people who may be visiting the area temporarily and just feel their teeth and gums need an extra clean.
Here at Dental Beauty we like to treat each patient as an individual, so during your appointment we will get to know you and provide a customised treatment and hygiene plan.
We also offer a professional cleaning as well as advice on homecare to maintain a good oral health in between appointments.
A new patient appointment is normally around 60 minutes with subsequent appointments lasting 30 – 45 minutes depending on the patient’s oral health.
At Dental Beauty we start by discussing and understanding your dental corners and problems. We then carry out a full assessment of the mouth which includes checking your gums for gum disease and the condition of your teeth. At every oral health assessment we also make sure to check all the soft tissues for early signs of mouth cancer.
With all this information we can provide a tailored treatment and hygiene plan to ensure you can achieve the best oral health possible.
The duration of the check up depends on the patient and their oral health. A full oral health screening can take up to 60 minutes to complete.
While we recommend our patients have a dental check up at least every 6 months, some may need to come more frequently depending on their oral health. Our dentist will advise you on how often you should attend.
